I finally saw Dear Evan Hansen this week. I gave my wife a ridiculously overpriced ticket to see it in Ben Platt's last week for her birthday a couple years ago and ever since she has been bugging me to go. The new lead clearly can't match the emotion of Platt's performances (so I've been told) but it was very very good. A pretty heart-wrenching story with an important message that I think would move almost anyone. Plus last second StubHub purchase put me on the second row so I could see all the sweat and tears. The music was also very good. I'll be downloading the original cast recording this week for listening in the car.Comment
