I dont think the article addressed any of the scenes I mentioned above. It seemed to focus on one or two scenes only.
Whatever, Aaron Eckhart just knows dedication to a role.

It's OK to whiff one now and then. We all do it.
I dont think it uses a little CGI. It uses a lot.

Again, all the scenes I mentioned have CGI in them. the article you linked mentioned that CGI was used and it only focuses on the one stunt scene in Hong Kong and a shot of Christian Bale standing on the roof of the Sears Tower. This is a near 3 hour movie we are talking about here.

The title does seem to imply that there was very little used, but then if you read the contents, it is revealed that he wanted to use as little as posisble, not that he actually did use little CGI.

Yes, of course there is a load of CGI in that movie. Perhaps less than your average comic book movie, but way more than what Oscar likes to see.

lol. this is my point. Eckhart deserves the Best Method Actor award for allowing his flesh to rot off the bone to shoot those 2-Face scenes. Photorealism!

If you take out the Joker was there any other part of TDK that was good? Hard to be a best picture type movie when 60% of the movie is average at best, even if the 40% he was in is phenomenal.

It was a fun movie, albeit very dark. Here is a clip of the intro, which I thought was pretty engaging. Seems to support your point about the Joker, though.

Rocky... artistic merits are the last thing you've ever cared about in film, music, etc. Your view of movies is the same as my brother Frank's view: You don't like it unless it's got boobies* and/or explosions.

Yeah, I'll stick up for Rocky here. He has pretty broad tastes in movies.

I just noticed that TDK was nominated for the Oscar in Best Visual Effects.

Go back and look at the past 8 or 9 years of Oscar winners/nominees for this category. Lots of CGI.

The Rock has definitely commented in the past about other things...script, characters, dialogue, etc..

Also, he has not shied away from giving action movies a huge thumbs down, lest anyone interpret my previous TDK commentary as an attempt to paint Rocky as an action movie junkie. I think it was that awful Will Smith superhero movie that I am talking about. As I recall, rocky thought it sucked. So did I.

Why did you feel that you needed to convince us so badly that you love boobies?

You're thinking of Goatnapper (hooters) and me ('splosions).

If it blowed up real good, it's a great movie.
