I was looking for this thread and could not find it. I think the guess pitch feature is great. To be honest I guess fastball every time, and if I am wrong I can just sit on the offspeed/break balls. It just seems like even when I make contact its pretty weak. I need more practice I guess.

That's part of the game. If you guess a high fastball and you don't get the feedback telling you if your type/location is correct, then you can use process of elimination to look for a different type in a different spot.

Online, don't be afraid to take pitches. Some guys will nibble and nibble to get people to chase. If you get ahead in the count, you are more likely to predict type/location later in the count and get a better pitch to hit.

I also tweak the sliders significantly when I play offline because otherwise CPU pitchers are way too accurate. I can usually draw 2 to 4 walks in offline games.
