Trap Jaw was bad ass. Tri-Clops was pretty cool also...especially his pissed off eye. I remember getting Jitsu and Fisto...with the oversized gold and silver hand respectively. They came with body armor you could punch off with a spring loaded judo chop or Fisto punch.

I totally forgot about Webstor (apparently no relation to Emanuel Lewis). Loved that guy and "Clawful" as well.

I had some of those, along with Panthor, Battle Cat, and Castle Grayskull. I also have a video of the Christmas in 1983 where I got these things. All I kept talking about was their WEAPONS.

I totally forgot about Webstor, I also had that one and I remember I wanted it badly because he could glide along on that string thing. Webstor was extremely difficult to find. Gemco would only have Clawful, Faker and Whiplash and never have Webstor.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Sometime in the February after Christmas I found He-Man's sword and shield still in the little plastic baggie somewhere between the couch cushions. I was psyched that he had weapons, although I'm not sure why I hadn't noticed up until that point.

He-man was the best. I loved that show as a kid, and I remember my awesome He-man costume I had for Halloween. I had a decent collection of He-man action figures too.

                  He-man (with the slashed armor)
                  Man-At-Arms
                  Battle Cat
                  Man E Faces
                  Prince Adam
                  Skeletor (with the slashed armor)
                  Trap Jaw
                  Clawful
                  Webstor
                  Panthor
                  Castle Greyskull
                  Snake Mountain

I think my mom still has all that stuff somewhere in the basement. When I was at Walmart one day, I saw a DVD of ten of the original episodes. It was just five bucks, so I picked it up. Watching it brought back memories, and I realized I forgot that they had that moral segment at the end of each episode. That was an awesome show for a five-year-old.
                  Not that, sickos.

Come to think of it, I was Skeletor for Halloween one year in one of those cheap vinyl costumes they used to peddle at Grand Central.

My parents have increasingly become packrats over the years. Mind you, they're not about to appear on an episode of hoarders, but my parents have two residences and the garages and closets are stuffed to the gills with crap. For some reason, my mom couldn't tolerate my He-Man, Star Wars and GI Joe gear, yet she probably has about 50 different sweatshirts that were distributed to the teachers at the three different elementary schools she taught at and would never in a million years wear now that she's retired.

This seems like an apropos place for this link...

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

                              I do a bad-ass Mer-man impression.

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
