It reminded me of a really dark Batman graphic novel that I picked up and finished in one sitting without having to read anything before, no discernible allusions to other comics I was supposed to have read to get me caught up. Nothing. Just a long ass, dark, violent, Batman flick.
I fell asleep during it. Too drawn out. But the performances were solid. I'm still skeptical that the penguin was actually Colin Ferrell.

I read that book a long time ago. I liked both the book and the movie. Makes you want to move to Montana.
