Will Ferrell.
At least according to financial figures that measure the actor's salary against total revenues, DVD sales, and production costs. Sounds reasonable enough.

Apparently, Will brings in $3.29 for every dollar he is paid (still a profitable investment, to be sure). In contrast, Shia LaBeouf brings in $160 for every dollar he is paid (better investment right now). I guess movies like "Land of the Lost" and "Semi-Pro" did not help Will's overall average.
Other actors rounding out the most overpaid list include Leonardo DiCaprio, Ewan McGregor, Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Carey and Drew Barrymore.

Forbes looked at 100 top actors based on their widely released films over the past five years. It factored in the production costs of those movies against how much boxoffice, DVD and other revenue they generated in order to come up with an operating income for each film, which it then compared with the salaries the stars earned.
