I was lucky this week and scored some tickets for tonight's sneak preview to the new Disney flick, Bolt. It is the one about the white dog that thinks he is a superhero. John Travolta does the voice. My kids were dying to see it and tickets were scarce to the sneak.
It is also the first movie released in Disney's new Digital 3D format, with several new ones on the way. While it is not a Pixar flick, it basically looks and feels like one. The Digital 3D concept is interesting because it will allegedly allow you to watch 3D movies at home if you have a hi-def monitor/tv. Not sure if that will actually be a reality, but sounds cool.
My wife and I took the kids and had a really nice time. If you enjoyed the Pixar movies, you will likely enjoy this one. We loved it. There were a lot of really funny lines. I think the adults were laughing more than the kids. The little hamster, Rhino, steals the show.
Also, for all you haters, there is a shout out to SC in the movie.
The previews also have some really cool looking animated movies coming our way, including a preview for the new Pixar flick, "Up."
PS we kept the 3D glasses on our way out! heh heh.....
