  • On our own, feature film for the family movie

Who wathced it? I did when I was a kid. Just ordered it off amazon on dvd to see what changes were there.

Both parents were obviously only childs and the kids grandparents must have all passed on. Father abandons them and mother passes away. Kids put in a group home until they find seperate foster homes.

Oldest boy does not think thats a good idea so he escapes with the family and runs away with there dog. Hide from cops than makes it to a long lost uncle on 9 dollars. Never bother to tell authorities were uncle is drives without liscence.

Has no money so steals gas. Falls asleep and gets kids stranded. Vacationing lady asks wht they are doing and they lie about there dad to get a ride from her. She is suspicious so they steal her car. She catches up to them

Tell the truth and she gets them to there uncle. Not real uncle and dad is in jail. taking them back kid steals bus until fathers best friend offers to take them. They have consequences.

Anyone see it. In real life there is no way they could escape for as long as thy did and elude the cops. How did welfare officials know were to look for them? In real life I don't think too many kids in that situtaion get seperated and I am sure they would of made effort to find uncle without kids taking matters into own hand. May put things into movie to make it look good no way most of that owuld happein in real life though.

Watched it as a kid. I don't remember anything about the movie except that the older brother was played by an Osmond. The sad thing is that I do still remember the opening song, and wish I could forget it.

Tom Dayton, the youngest boy, was in my elementary class. We thought it was pretty cool that he was a movie star. His dad was the producer, I believe.

Also, he has a Bacon number of 3.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
