  • The League

New comedy on FX starts Thursday at 10:30 PM Eastern time.

It's a bunch of guys that are in a fantasy football league. With that as the backdrop, the show has great potential.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

This show looks good. And Nick Kroll and Paul Scheer are very funny people.

I thought it was pretty funny. Pretty raunchy, but I was probably a little embarrassed because I was watching it at work with an LDS co-worker.

Why were you embarrassed? Seems the LDS co-worker, if anyone, would be embarrassed.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I was also watching it at work. I'd like to think I'm more considerate of other people's sensibilities in that environment.

Oh, so the LDS person wasn't watching at work? At least, not by choice I guess. hehehehe. They'll survive.

I just discovered this show over this last weekend*.

I haven't laughed so hard in a very long time. Modern Family of course is as funny, but The League can get away with so much more.

I even got my wife into it. The 'p---y confidence' vs. 'v------l hubris' discussion, followed by the 'bounce test' video, were enough to put this show on auto-record in the TiVo queue.

                Good stuff!

Does anybody else still like this show?

I just added it to my DVR list. The Tick turned me on to it last week and I watched a couple episodes he recorded. The Halloween one was great! Hilarious!

I watched last season a couple weeks ago. Pretty dirty but hilarious.

                      Fear boner. Awesome episode.

                      Funniest show on TV.

Lumping this show in with EB&D is such a disservice to EB&D. That's like saying "I love my Ferrari. That and my Daewoo Leganza are my two favorite cars."

I do think EB&D is the better show. But I enjoy The League as well.

EB&D is the most quotable piece of media since "Friday".

Since basketball is over I've been rewatching this show the last few days to get ready for football season. It is even more funny the second time around. Filthy but hilarious. Very much like the league I've been in for 15 years. Probably my favorite show right now.
