    Modern Family

2 for 2 so far. Great new show--hope it keeps it up.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Yeah, it has great writing thus far. Last night's episode was great.

I concord. I think this has been one of the best seasons for new shows in recent memory. I find three really solid new ones in Modern Family, Glee and Community. I don't watch the dramas (for the most part) so I have no idea there.

Yeah, this one will be around for a while. I love the Gloria character. She is hot/hilarious. "I don't know, I will ask my new husband while we are spending your money." LOL. The Cameron character slays me as well.

Two for two indeed. My favorite line of the night was from the heavier gay guy (I can't remember character names yet) as he looked into the camera deeply offended: "Meryl Streep could play Batman and it would be the right choice."

I love this show. I've had a crush on Gloria since I served a Spanish speaking mission and was introduced to Univision.

That character is great. I liked his dance routine at the end too, and that line, "But that is how I make my pony go."

This show has a lot of promise. I didn't catch the first episode, but I'll catch the rest of the season.

You should still be able to catch the first one on hulu if you are interested.

Hulu.com. You can catch the pilot there.

I caught it on ABC.com. I loved it when the bigger gay dude brought out Lily with the Lion King music playing. That was too funny.

I am enjoying all three as well, though of those I think Community is least likely to make it. Too little of McHale and the rest of the cast, waaaay too much Chevy Chase.

Modern Family is great so far. Very enjoyable. Glee is great as well.

McHale can lay on the sarcasm/cynicism too heavy for me sometimes, so if they could write a little less of that into the show that would be great.

On a somewhat related note, I haven't seen a lot written up about this, but Fox as a commercial network has really been an interesting development to watch. From their early days with cheap reality tv (cops) and risque humor (simpsons, married...with children) on the outside looking in, to their present sitting atop the networks with high production value shows like House, Glee, 24, Lie to Me, and Prison Break they really have been an interesting study in network development. I think American Idol brought them a lot of money and gave them some ability to take financial risks with costly prime time productions. I like what they've done.

ldc and I watched both episodes last night. This show has great potential for good and evil. I think it has 2-4 solid seasons in it if they play it right.

The blonde neighbor woman is mildly attractive.

I loved it when the couple was introduced to her in the street and she said something that most people would have said, "that's crazy". He said "That's coconuts". That made me laugh.

I've become a huge fan of this show. The actor who plays Phil (Ty Burrell) does a great job.
