Why is it that the comments section in any local paper is filled by the absolute worst of human nature? Is there anyplace on the internet with more scary people posting than at newspapers? Why is this? Everytime I read the local news, I scroll down and look at the comments, then lose hope in humanity. In today's story about the guy who slapped the kid at Wal-Mart, opinions are about 50-50 in support of the guy.
