Not completely true. Foil will help, but unless you have it in restaurant/commercial size, some bacon grease inevitably sneaks under the foil.

We have had the enormous roll of heavy duty foil for the last year or so. I love it; my wife hates it, and is counting the days until it is gone. Little does she know I will buy a new one immediately afterward.

Locally I am partial to Falls Brand bacon.

I am a convert to baking in the oven. I go at 325 and plan for a longer time in the oven (I pan-cook my bacon over low heat as well, to minimize the splatter). If a need to do several pounds I will pre cook a day or two before then finish off the day of consumption. Hasn't been a problem.

You won't be disappointed. It is heavenly.

But whatever you do DO NOT OVERCOOK! It should be just starting to crisp, but still limp. Very important with Benton bacon.

What is wrong with her?

She thinks the package is too heavy. It doesn't fit in our foil/plastic wrap drawer (I said we should just keep it out on the counter for constant use). She even complains about the size of the roll and the thickness of the foil, which are main selling points!

I don't know. It is a major point of contention right now. Almost as much as when she bought the huge box of generic, cheap, no-drawstring kitchen garbage bags.

I find that my oven starts to smoke if I put it that high. I got to 340F for around 35-40 mins when it's thick, or less for the cheaper stuff. We've found that the cheap Carolina Pride is the only kind that doesn't give me migraines, so I've had to avoid all the fancy applewood smoked stuff lately. But, we're entering BLT season, so I might be stupid here in the next couple of months.

I don't know about sensitivity, but pretty much any kind of cured meat will give me a migraine since about 2010. I'm not allergic though.
