Yeah, you're missing out. Daughters are awesome. What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Wait until she is 14 and you are an idiot, which she willet you know sometimes directly in an aural assault andother times with a subtle, barely perceptible, but extremely menaingful curl of her lip or roll of her eyes. She'll still be indispensable but those are some long years.Originally posted by Levin View PostHad my first daughter 8 months ago after two sons. I think I could go without raising a boy. I love my girls, I get them. Granted they're 4 and 2, but I'm afraid a boy would be so different I wouldn't know what to do.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I get this already from my wife, and I'm hoping I find the feistiness charming in my daughter as well.Originally posted by creekster View PostWait until she is 14 and you are an idiot, which she willet you know sometimes directly in an aural assault andother times with a subtle, barely perceptible, but extremely menaingful curl of her lip or roll of her eyes. I have no sons yet, but for me, there is nothing in life that even approaches the love and affection of a daughter. I say that as I nurse a good size mouse on my left eye brow I got tonight as I whispered in her ears (the whispering and my whiskers make her erupt into laughter/agony) and she smashed into me with her forehead as she convulsed. I deserved it, but she spent the next five minutes touching it and say "ahhh, its okay Papa." And then I would get loves and more loves. Pure bliss.Originally posted by pellegrino View PostI think I could go without raising a boy. I love my girls, I get them. It is bad enough being henpecked by one woman.

I could take or leave my sons many days; but my daughter is indispensable to me at this point.Which is exactly why it's going to be so brutal when she hits 14-20.I have no sons yet, but for me, there is nothing in life that even approaches the love and affection of a daughter. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Yeah it's pretty tough coming home and having my 2 year old just want to play football or shoot hoops. Rough life.Originally posted by pellegrino View PostI think I could go without raising a boy. My 8 year old daughter insists we play catch at least once a day, She's getting to be a pretty good little ballplayer. She loves watching baseball and is looking forward to the Utes starting to play. Although she can pull out the attitude at times, for the most part she is a sweet, well mannered little girl. I really feel lucky, like I got the best of both worlds in her.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostYeah it's pretty tough coming home and having my 2 year old just want to play football or shoot hoops. We also just found out our second, which due at the start of the year, is a girl. I hope she grows up just like her sister."In conclusion, let me give a shout-out to dirty sex. What a great thing it is" - Northwestcoug
