How not to write an obituary

Last night my mom called and told me she saw in the paper the obituary of a kid in our old ward that I was pretty good friends with. She read me the obit, and it was really sad. He never married. It said he like computers and logic puzzles. The highlight was that he had recently adopted a homeless cat and enjoyed taking care of him.
A pit in my stomach, it sounded like he took his life. My mom agreed.

Well, my mom called back today. Turns out that later that night she mentions this to my absent minded dad.
"Oh, ya, I forgot to tell you. He had a brain tumor and was in a coma for 3 months."
Still, very sad, but not quite suicide sad.
    I intend to live forever.
    So far, so good.

Despite the tragedy of this post, I appreciate the humor of it.

BTW, would this be someone that my wife would know?
