Thanks for that link. It has inspired me to stop using a spoon to remove a fish bone that's stuck in my throat."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

I never really understood why we had to practice FIFO (First In, First Out) rules for plastic cutlery. We're unloading the truck, sweating to death in the cage, and we have to rotate stock. The unopened boxes of spoons had to be moved forward and the newer ones put behind. Plastic lasts for thousands of years. There was no use-by date on the boxes, yet, every manager made us rotate stock. I understand doing it for the Filet-O-Fish patties because they could get freezerburn quickly and go bad, but plastic spoons? That seems silly, even seventeen years later. I remember one time when I was running the back wall on a Saturday, and the production caller called for eight Filet-O-Fish sandwiches for the bin, but one patty fell out of the box into this crack in between sections of the inside of the stainless freezer right by the vat (it was a sanitary surface). I had to get a big spoon from the make table to try and reach the patty because the biscuit trays were blocking my hand from reaching into the gap. I somehow managed to pull the patty out and get it dropped so I could sauce the buns that I had toasted, but the when I was retrieving the patty, I dropped the spoon into the same gap and couldn't get it out for love nor money."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action.
