On my way home from LA today, I stopped off at the DI near downtown. I have been on a quest for a large print set of scriptures and thought the LA DI might have a triple (they did not. boo!).
Adjacent to the DI is an LDS Employment Services and a Bishop's Storehouse/Cannery. Unbeknown to me, there was no Beehive Clothing. I assumed there would be, as they usually travel in packs. I wanted to buy a new triple and figured I might as well since I was there.
I walked into the Employment Services to ask where I could find Beehive Clothing. The front desk was being manned by a barely-there octogenarian missionary/volunteer. He reminded me of the man from Up, except without the balloons.
Him: "Can I help you?"
Me: I am looking for Beehive Clothing.
Him: "Beehive Clothing? This is Employment Services."
Me: "I know. But since I didn't see the sign for Beehive Clothing, I thought you could point me in the right direction."
Him: "Hold on"
man walks back to some office for a few seconds, asks the supervisor a question, then returns.
Him: "You can go across the parking lot to the building over there."
Me: "To the DI?"
Him: "Yes. They will have beehive clothing. They have all sizes and all ages. Just look in the little girls section."
Me: "OK. Thanks for all your help. Bye."
I still haven't found that large print triple combination I was seeking.
