Sad night at our house tonight. Our son's friend passed away tonight at 6 pm. We've know him since he was in the 1st grade - and he was always a bundle of energy and enthusiasm. He was 29. From alcohol abuse he went septic, and his organs failed him the last three days. Bad blood took him quicker than they could control. We're sad, but our son is taking it hard, as this is his first up close death of a friend and someone his age.
So sorry to hear that - way, way to young no matter what his demons

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

Ha! My services are free. And perhaps worth about the same amount! Sadly this is not the first time this has happened.
