    Checks and cash

With tithing online how often do people write out checks now? There are a few businesses that still don,t take debit or credit cards. That is when you go to atm. But at local fair and rodeo most vendors took debit cards. No longer buy something at convenience store and ask for $20 cash back to go to rodeo.

Only time I use cash and occasionally write checks is at concessions of local ball games. Sometimes they will give you cash back. Other times exact purchase only. Those cases ask for CB at ticket area. I don,t know if BYU takes debit cards at there concessions or not. Jazz do. With smart phones hair stylists now take cash part time ones. Mechanic in my area you can pay him via card now. Bank probably charges a little more which is passed on. But it is convenient.

A few bowling allies, movie theaters, and skating rinks don,t take debit cards yet. Most do. Interesting stores have ATMs inside them while letting you use your card. At fair some businesses let you use cards others didn,t. Who got the business.

Many jobs use direct deposit now too. I am sure most business owners will have to deal with cash and checks, but more and more most money us done via way of cards now. I only used cash and check before mission, 1st used atm on mission, and used purchase via card then too at grocery store. Some businesses let you use cards some didn,t.

So going from cash and check only, needing to write checks for cash, to atm,s you could draw from, fee if foreign bank not convenient, to most businesses letting you use cards. Smart phones making it easier then ever. Most major bills are now paid online. I bet most people now hardly use checks or cash, unless you absolutely have too. Even some Hs concessions may now let you use cards.

Grape, you're a rock star. For years I've paid my gas bill and mortgage by sending a check in the mail because they either didn't offer one-time online payments or they charged a fee to do so. And I refuse to sign up for auto-pay, where they can just reach into my account and take what they want. After reading your comments, I checked both services and found that they now allow online payments for free. Thanks!
