Yeah, Commando isn't a judge. I feel like I would've heard that.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
I wonder how many times the rental car company will bill me for the damage to my car in Switzerland. We are up to two and counting, with the first being the deductible for the agency policy I bought so by definition I should not have been charged again.
Going to Puerto Vallarta for the first time in a couple of weeks. We have a Marietas Island and taco tour booked. We're also doing a day hike from Boca Tomatlan to Las Animas beach. We have 3 days free. Does anybody here have any must do ideas?

I haven't been to Mexico yet. I'll be interested in hearing how it goes.
In Cusco, Peru tonight after a couple of days in Lima. Beautiful country, wonderful food and for the most part the people have been great. Trump is the ugliest American and some group us with him. Very excited about Machu Piccu this coming Monday.

I'm envious. We were supposed to be doing that in May. Post some pics!

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Puerto Vallarta is pretty nice. It has something for everyone, but there are two main groups you will come in contact with. Depending on where you stay, you will either be surrounded by a ton of Americans/Canadians (resorts), or you will come across more gay men than you have ever seen in your life (Zona Romantica). Do you have to ask where we stayed?
Anyways, the weather this time of year is wonderful. Not too hot and no rain. The city is relatively clean and very tourist friendly. Food is pretty great, and I ate my fill of fresh seafood. You can eat pretty cheaply there all week if you stick to taco stands, but restaurant prices were surprisingly similar to here.
We did a mix of lazy beach days and excursions. If you go and see that the Marietas Island excursion is top-rated on Trip Advisor, be forewarned that it's a thinly disguised excuse to drink for four hours (2 hours there and back) and snorkel for a bit while you're there. I'd skip it, though we did see about a dozen whales. I would recommend seeing this chain of less populated beaches https://www.alltrails.com/trail/mexi...aya-las-animas . The trail is moderate for the first mile then gets easier. We saw whales, iguanas, and parrots. At the end (Las animas beach) we took a water taxi back, which allowed us to see how gorgeous the coastline is. I hear good things about taking a water taxi from Boca de Tomatlan to Yelapa also.
The botanical gardens were pretty cool. Plenty of interesting flora that I hadn't seen before. The restaurant there is actually top notch. We also did a taco food tour that allowed us to see some of the older part of the city. And yeah, the beaches. Pretty great. We stayed there a week which was enough time. I thought about buying a pink kimono and getting viagra (pharmacies there sell everything from antibiotics to anabolic steroids without a prescription). Not because I need it, perish the thought. But just because I could.
I don't think we'd rush back, but our first Mexican trip was a success. Maybe we'll hit the eastern coast during the next winter doldrums.

Man I'm glad we got our Puerto Vallarta trip out of our system last month!
