Kid's World of Warcraft gets cancelled

The sanctity of the tv remote has been fouled.

Man, that wasn't funny at all. I feel really bad for the kid; this should never have been posted online.

The kid has serious anger management issues. If you are (what looks like) 13-15 years old and you are still throwing tantrums in that way, you have a long road ahead of you.

And as far as it being posted online, well, that's just one of latest and greatest tools for siblings to use against each other.

That's what I mean.....this kid will now carry this stigma FOR LIFE because his dickhead little brother posted it online. If my children did this, the one who posted it would be, as my father said, "Dead Meat." It was really tragic to watch; I can't imagine ever thinking this was funny, even if I knew the kid. The rage is beyond just getting pissed and calming down....this is serious, volatile anger that gives me pause. He probably will calm down on his own, but man, that's some temper for someone his age.

As far as tantrums go, this kid needs some serious work.

The best tantrums are done in public, to embarrass the parents. It takes steel resolve and an iron constitution for a parent to totally ignore a tantrum-throwing child in the middle of a grocery story or the mall. It is the ultimate showdown of ego and will.

If only all kids ran to their rooms and closed their door to throw a tantrum. That would be awesome. Have at it.

I give him some points for creative freestyling/improv with blankets, clothes, etc. Also, he went old school with the threats to run away and feigned self-injury with the shoe. But where was he going with the remote-in-the-rear-end thing? That part was upsetting, to say the least.
          Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Well, there's a pop-psychology answer for that and his anger issues, but from one little video, I wouldn't hazard a declaration one way or the other.

The other day at Wal*Mart, our little guy freaked out....like freaked out (he was 2). I told Mrs. wuapinmon to just keep walking and not look back at him, and to go around the corner. She couldn't do it. Every time she turned back, he was watching and started shrieking louder. Finally, I just pushed mommy down another aisle, and stepped in myself and watched him. He waited 2 seconds, saw we were gone, his wittle face turned to terror and he then stood up and ran, sobbing "Mommy, mommy, mommy." I swooped him up and took him, as I love to do when they misbehave, to the video game section and started asking him questions about which one he liked the best. That's all it took to calm him down, but I wasn't picking him up off the floor while he was shrieking.

My wife is too tender-hearted for the walk away approach. I love her.

The thing that troubles me is that not getting to play a video game warranted such an outburst. It was almost as if little Johnny hadn't been told no too often.

I'm a total geek, so I can say that cancelling his World of Warcraft account is much more than just not getting to play a video game. It's an account and a character that he's probably spent hours and hours developing, earning points, unlocking things, creating "friends" online. To cancel his account to provoke an outburst is just mean-spirited. That's why the snarky little brother is a dickhead.

If someone cancelled my Call of Duty account, I'd be pissed. Unless it was Mrs. wuapinmon. "Yes ma'am. Whatever you want."

LOL. YOu have been married for a few years haven't you

Thinking about it, I wonder if this scenario has played out a few other times, and this is why the little brother knew it was time to get the camara out.

How do we know this wasn't staged?

Eleven years this week, though she's in St. George for my son's birthday, father's day and our anniversary.....no, I'm cool with it. At least that's what I told her because I love her enough to fake being cool with it.

We can't.....but if it's staged, the kid is a phenomenal actor, and the remote control thing makes me think that there's no way you just do that premeditatedly (is that a word?).

If it gets your point across - as it did - then it's a word.

I suppose I'm leaning toward believing it's staged because I have kids that age and I've never witnessed that kind of behavior from them or any of their friends.

Here's to hoping a general authority doesn't see this, or the opening talk in the next priesthood session will be that the youth should avoid playing world of warcraft by any means.

Makes you wonder for sure. I thought I was watching something from The Exorcist .
