Hey RC, is this a family vacation?
If so, Instead of the knockoff fake Disneyland, might I suggest Universal's Island of Adventure.
UIoA has 5 Islands called Super Hero Island, Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent and Dr. Suess Landing. They have some great rides for the kids and adults. They also have some excellent exploring areas in the Jurrasic Park area. One day I spent 3 hours just battling my neices, nephews and strangers in an area that have set up with water cannons. Fun stuff.

The wife, my eighteen year old and myself are doing the Florida thing. I was looking today and I'm sure we will take one day in at Island of Adventure. We are thinking one day at DisneyWorld just because we are there but we are not sure about the third day. After that we are going to Tampa for a couple of days and then to Miami. Matt Lindstrom (the Marlins closer) is from Rexburg and so we are going to to watch him and the Yankees one day. I'm open to any other ideas.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostHey RC, is this a family vacation?

Sorry, RC! You deserve a straight answer.Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostThanks 3D. You make YOhio almost likeable.
Personally, I am not a huge Orlando guru. When we have gone, it was always as an add-on to a few days in Miami. We have done the Disney parks (usually skipping the Disneyland part, which is always a weird experience, and concentrating more on the EPCOT park, which is cool), we have done the water park stuff. We haven't even bothered with SeaWorld.
Coach is correct...Universal Islands of Adventure is fun if you and your kids like rides.
If you golf, there are golf courses everywhere.
I think that for the most part, Orlando is all about the Mouse.
We did enjoy heading out the Kennedy Space Center. You may want to check that out.
What else is there to do out there? Anyone?Last edited by TripletDaddy; 06-14-2009, 06:52 PM.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

You know how President Hinckley said he doesn't worry about those who pray? The same can be said for men who are self-aware enough to know when there's a life to be lived outside of the world of video games. - Anonymous

Orlando is one of my least favorite cities. I would skip it if I were you.
Definitely catch the Space Center. Coco Beach is OK."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Take your golf clubs. That would be my advice, despite never actually visiting Orlando.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostOrlando is one of my least favorite cities. I would skip it if I were you.
