Wow. I was surprised to hear that she was in stable condition yesterday, because I read a report that CPR was administered to her after the plane landed. I assumed a bad outcome because of that report, but I'm not sure if it was ever verified.

I just found out that Richard Adams, author of Watership Down, died Saturday. I don't know if people read Watership Down these days as much as they used to, but I read it when I was 12 years old or so, when it was still within 10 years or so of first printing, and loved it. I probably read it 5 more times before I went to college. I don't think I have read it since, but a few weeks ago, something brought it to mind, and I thought it would be a good book to read to my daughters. I bought a copy and it has been sitting on the edge of my desk since then. Maybe I'll start it with them tonight.
If you have never read it, you have the recommendation of teenage Clark Addison of it being totally awesome.Comment
