Looking forward to eating my first delicious Omaha steak (which will be a contrast to all of the mediocre Omaha steaks from my in-laws' freezer I've eaten over the years. Don't tell my FIL, though. He's convinced that is some top-notch meat). Can anyone recommend a spot?
The best steak I ever had in Omaha was at 801 Chophouse, but they arent an omaha original (started in Des Moines). A lot of people will say Omaha Prime; they are good but I had a much better experience at 801. Mohagany's out west is supposed to be good but I cant vouch for them. If instead of a prime steakhouse you are more interested in the less posh Omaha italian steakhouse experience, you have Gorat's, Anthony's, and Johnny's which are all pretty good.

If you just want the best piece of meat you can find, I would go with Omaha Prime or 801.

Runza's are the worst thing Nebraska ever invented. Their burgers and fries are actually pretty good but the Runza itself is gross.

I solemnly bear witness that Omaha 680 speaks the everlasting truth about Runzas (and their burgers & fries).

I had a Cobb Salad in Carefree, AZ last week. Not enough Blue Cheese.

Pueblo, CO for some industry committee work. We visited the TTCI, which is out in the middle of nowhere. They have test tracks where new passenger train vehicles are tested and bridge structures are put through different loading scenarios. That part was interesting. Pueblo itself was not great. They are supposed to have good Mexican food but I struck out at the taco shop I tried. The best food I ate was at Sonic.

Pueblo, Colorado. I remember those commercials in the 80s/90s for the free consumer guide or something that you had to send away for to a PO Box address in Pueblo, Colorado. Does this ring a bell for anybody?

*ok I just googled this and I'm at risk of losing a whole day of work going down this rabbit hole. Apparently there's a U.S. government bookstore that provides all kinds of free materials and resources based in Pueblo, Colorado?

Yeah, I watched enough TV that I heard Pueblo, Colorado referenced many times.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was located on the same compound I visited. TTCI is managed and operated by the American Association of Railroads (AAR) but it operates on federal land that I believe was originally set apart by the USDOT/FRA for high speed train tests in the 70s. Other federally funded operations such as SERTC (emergency response training) also take place at the facility. We were told we could take pics of the test tracks but nothing else so I dont have any pics of alleged secret publishing facilities.
