We're on 127th in Central Harlem. For my wife to be on board moving here pregnant, we had to get a place with a washer/dryer in the unit and two bedrooms. On our budget that of course pushed us above the park. If she were working full time and we didn't have a new baby we would probably be in another neighborhood. But we actually ened up in a pretty nice place so we are happy.Originally posted by Tim View PostStuy Town, bro. All utilities included. How far uptown are you? I don't recall.

I take it you rent out space in your house for meat locker storage. Anything below 72F and I'm freezing.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostSometimes, if Papi's sweaty, I'll bump it down to 65F at night, but remember that we have high humidity in the Carolinas. It often feels like the hot breath of an angry lover outside, and it wants to make you miserable when you sleep if you let it. It's usually about 71F during the day. Our high Summer bill is about $225. Of course, in the Winter, it never gets above 68F, ever, so the savings are seasonal. I like it cold inside and hot outside. So does my wife, so it's perfect.
2100 sq ft brick house. We also have a window unit for an addition that we set to MAX COOL until we're cold.
Your heating is electric as well? Heating with gas is the way to go (at least in Texas). I don't know how much we save by having a gas powered dryer but I'm guessing it is a small fortune. The gas bill is never over $75/mo even when running the gas fireplace and feeding all the scouts, missionaries, dogs, etc. cheap wieners off the grill all month."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Every contractors dream!Originally posted by ERCougar View PostLast month's bill was about $250. And we should have high efficiency air conditioners, I would think. I said to the contractor that I cared about energy costs.Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2I'm your huckleberry.
