    Camp Skits and Ditties

I get to go to Girl's Camp in two weeks (not nearly as exciting now, as it would have been 25 years ago). One of the priesthood's responsibilities is to have a dittie each morning at roll call, and a skit for the last night. This is terrifying for me. I'm not now, nor have I ever been a thespian. I'm not even sure I know the difference between a skit and dittie. I think a dittie is meant to be just a short little song/dance/rap(?) each morning, and a skit is a longer production.

Does anyone have any ideas? If I was the type of person who felt anxiety, I'm sure this would be causing me to have some.

That is horrible that they make you do that. Girl's camp is bad.

Great idea. Singing a song, that none of the kids (and many of the leaders) have never heard of, about people, I pray they haven't heard of.

Just wait, Piney. Your turn on the HC is coming. Actually, it is a good gig, and infinitely less demanding that being the priest's president.

You should create a team to come up with some really short ones for you, so you could call yourself the chairman of the itty-bitty-ditty committee.
If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

Nah, other than the 2 minutes of daily humiliation, the rest should be fun. Though not as good at Scout Camp use to be, at Coeur D' Alene. That consistent of me skipping out every morning, for a round of the golf. The rest of the day was just lounging around the lake. For GC, I will be taking the 4th year girls on an overnight hike. I went and did the pre-hike, last Friday. I hope I didn't choose too tough of trail for them. It was a little steeper than I expected, but it is only 5 miles.

Show me your ditties a play on words for the thread title when talking about 14-18 year olds at girls camp. Not sure that was the appropriate title for this thread.

It is time for a new signature quote. I think I may have found it.
One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

                      I had that same thought

I thought the same thing, probably a good idea to change it.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I've decided my intro music next week will be the Cougar fight song, starting with Rise and Shout the girls are out. Now I needs help in figuring what the next couple lines should be. It is only going to be one verse long, though I am anxious to teach my stake how to fist roll.
