"It's no secret that the great American pastime is no longer baseball. Now it's sanctimony." -- Guy Periwinkle, The Nix.

        Funny.
        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I find that people who use it tend to overuse it. Not only that, but they often misuse it.

I'm not pretentious, I'm just illustrated in consonance with the more pedestrian significance of that particular combination of morphemes.

Oh man, oh man, oh man.

                Pretentious - acting like a pre-teen: "Don't act so pretentious, that's ignorant."
Consonance - all letters but a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes y: "Slav names have no consonance. I said Slav, not slave. Idiot."
Pedestrian - a person who walks in the street: "LOL, you don't take sick kids to a pedestrian. Idiot."
Morphemes - plural form of a narcortic: "Nurse, more morpheme, please."

"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

                      elegant/inelegant

I could stab myself in the eye for using that word in a post recently. CS is a bad influence on me sometimes.

"Summer". But only when it is used like the following: We summer on Cape Cod.
