Anyone ever been? What is there to do? What should someone look out for? What are offenses that will get someone caned?

Looks like I'll be there in a week.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Whatever you do, don't vandalize anything.

I like Singapore. It is a very orderly city and extremely clean. I liked the Kranji War Memorial and the Asian Civilization Museum. I like those kinds of things. Lots of beautiful gardens and some cool religious buildings. Where will you be staying?

Last time I was in Singapore, I crossed the border into Malaysia and thought I hit the jackpot with all these awesome and cheap DVDs. When I returned to Singapore, security took me to a border police station and threatened to take my DVDs. I got a one time warning and I got to keep the movies. Boy was I afraid that the cane would be coming!

Been there once for 5 days. I was stunned that in the midst of a region full of developing nations, there sat this little outpost of first world English-speakinng modernness. It was fascinating. Kind of like a little chunk of Florida.

It's hot, but you're from Houston, right?

What to do? I was working, so I didn't have much time and spent most off time walking through markets. I don't recall there being any significant historical site to visit, which would have been my preference, but like I said, I was there for only a few days. Most tourism info pointed to entertainment, food, and modern touristy stuff.

Everyone I've talked to who has lived there says it's a great place for families, and I could see why. Are you flying through Tokyo?
            Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Clarke Quay Hotel. I really don't have much time as I land on Monday morning and fly out on Friday afternoon. I might have some time Friday to do something and a memorial or museum sound nice.

It'll be hot, but yeah, I'm from Houston. I'll be inside most of the time. I do want to go for a run while I'm there so I can record the run in my Garmin. I always try to get in a run wherever I go. I'm worried though that I'll spit or farmer-blow my nose and next thing you know I'm in jail and Obama is lobbying for a reduction in the number of canings.

I fly through Moscow on the way there and straight from Singapore to LA on the way back. Thankfully it's a business trip so I get business class paid for by the company and I've heard business class is nice on Singapore Airlines.

I'll admit to being worried my colleagues will take me to a strip joint...
