    Ooh! Big Earthquake.

We just had a really decent sized earthquake, right here in the middle of Los Angeles.

My sister just called from laguna, said it felt like it picked her house up off the ground and set it back down. She is freaked.

          5.0

Not too big, but definitely noticeable.

USGS says it was a 5.0 with a 3.2 aftershock. I think I'll take my chances with the twisters.

The bigger one (the first) clocked in at 5.0. The aftershock was a 3.1. This according to USGS.

I keep feeling little shakes in the floor. I can't quite tell if that is more aftershock or something else. The lights just dimmed a bit (so power is being affected some place).

A 5.0 isn't that big, but this was the biggest one I have felt.

Hope everything is ok! I've been through a few earthquakes myself and that don't have to be all that big to give everyone a scare. Of course, if nothing is really damaged and everyone is ok, then they can be kinda fun too.

Yeah, a 5 oh will just put a scare into you. 6's will start putting the hurt on. The 94' Northridge earthquake was the largest I have felt. It was a high 6, like 6.7-6.8. Scary shit that one was. Glad to hear it wasn't too bad. Hope all is well for you in SoCA.

Not the best night for the Triplet household.

A few hours ago, my daughter fell and bonked her head. Bloody nose, split lip, blood everywhere. Then she started getting a headache. She is at CHOC getting her dome x-rayed. My wife is with her.

So I am with the kids putting them to sleep and the house starts to shake. Rumbling noise. The kids thought it was cool. I didn't. Earthquakes suck. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

I want this day to end. At least the Celtics lost, I guess.

                    Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

yuck. Only a couple more hours left, though.

Hope your little girl feels better soon.

Any earthquake you can feel is plenty big.

                        Hope everyone there is ok.

Just had another minor temblor. I've thought I've been feeling the ground rolling a bit all day today, and then this certain little rumble. Strange times.

                          Edit: 4.1
