This time frame coincides with the time that I spent in Upstate New York. Hence my comments on the Bills.

I am hesitant about the cold but not a deal breaker, and I am more worried about the lack of ysa in the area, ysa branch seems pretty small. I but Toronto is close which is a plus. Too bad all the sports teams suck.

Lack of LDS YSA is a valid concern. I grew up in the midwest where there were not many LDS YSA even in a "college town". Because of graduate/professional schools there were always many young-married couples in my wards and we would often host them over the holidays if they were unable to travel west to be with family. I think in metro areas, the population of LDS YSA might be higher but I'm not sure Buffalo is large enough.

Right before I started graduate school at BYU, I had a roomate who was just finishing his graduate program. He was dating someone in Provo but unsure whether "she was the one". He decided she wasn't and left for his corporate job somewhere in rural Michgian (it wasn't Detroit or Ann Arbor). I warned him that the available pool of LDS YSA would be very small where he was headed because I was from the midwest. He thought that it wouldn't be that bad having lived several years in NYC before returning to school. He was wrong. About six months later, I got a frantic call during finals weeks asking demanding that I locate his ex-girlfriend (this was pre-internet). He lamented that there was nobody in his area to date and that his ward was full of married people and families. In short, he wasn't a happy camper even though things were working out well with his career.
