I think I have some deep seeded insecurities

My wife casually mentioned the other day that she wanted the Twilight soundtrack. So I decided to drop in to Wal*Mart today and grab it. Oddly, I felt like I was doing something wrong. As I was walking through the store, I kept the CD face down and covered with the other items I was buying. And when I got to the checkout, I felt the need to explain to the cashier that the CD wasn't for me. It felt like I was buying a big ol' box of maxi pads or something. Hopefully the little unexpected surprise I'm giving her will pay big dividends.

I don't have a problem buying maxipads for my wife, as it is proof that I have a woman at home.

By the way, is the proper phrase "deep seeded", or "deep seated"?

If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

Either one would apply in my case.

Online porn is to iTunes Twilght music downloads as Picking up a Playboy at the corner gas station is to picking up the actual CD at a store with people in it.

The Twilight soundtrack is actually the Twilight item that should bring you the least shame. It has Radiohead's 15 steps and Muse's Supermassive Black Hole. Granted there are better ways to get those songs but at least it isn't Josh Groban.

Good point, and I thought about that, but she really only listens to music in the car, and her car doesn't have an ipod jack.
