What's not to like about the dri-luxe material? Soft as cotton, and breathes like no other garment material.Last edited by Donuthole; 05-15-2009, 08:42 AM.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

I am confused by the direction of this thread.
Donute, are you simply arguing one material over another? or are you saying that it is not cool to have your underwear sticking out of your clothes?
As for the latter, I think most would agree, but what I don't get is how you know so many people that have garments sticking out of their shirts. What part is sticking out? If you wear a regular t shirt, why is the neck of the garment sticking out?Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

My beef is with the garments being visible (a fashion beef, not a doctrinal one). I don't care which style/material you wear, so long as they aren't visible. My plug for the dri-luxe garments was in response to Surfah's question about how to wear scoop g's without the scoop neck being visible through a tight fitting shirt.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostDonute, are you simply arguing one material over another? or are you saying that it is not cool to have your underwear sticking out of your clothes?
Many people wear t-shirts with the necks too big, which leads to a visible crew neck. However, it is not just that the g's are visible with t-shirts, but polo shirts and button downs, as well.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Post. . .what I don't get is how you know so many people that have garments sticking out of their shirts. I've got to pound out a purchase agreement in the next couple hours, but I'll be back with some photographic evidence in support of my argument.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

While we have certainly had our fashion tiffs in the past (landpoke, shut up!), I can't help but agree with this. Dri-Lux scoops are perfect and are my underwear style of choice.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostIt all starts with purchasing the proper scoop neck. The 100% cotton, 50-50 cotton poly, nylon mesh, and silky scoop necks are no good, for differing reasons (varying from too low of a scoop to a scoop that stretched out over time, etc.).
The Dri-Luxe scoops are perfect. First off, the material is very light, so the neck itself isn't as bulky as some of the other scoops. Second, the scoop is higher, so it rests just perfectly below the collar bone. This is the perfect location for wearing a polo shirt (as the scoop falls just below the first couple of buttons) and works nicely with fitted shirts, as it is above the upper chest, so as to be above the pressure points on a fitted shirt. Finally, the material is very springy, so the scoop neck doesn't end up as a droop neck after a bunch of washes.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.
