      41st?!?

I'm pretty happy, and most people I associate with like Oregon also. I'm betting it's all those easterners who chafe under the yoke of Kate Brown's dictatorship.

      • I have the option of going to San Jose - Costa Rica for extended business (90 days) - anybody here have the downlow? Do they have golf in San Jose? How safe? Sounds like fun to me - just the thing to mix up life a bit.

I've been to Costa Rica twice, once for two weeks and once for a single day off of a cruise ship. The only part of the whole country that I didn't like was the big city of San Jose. If I go to Costa Rica again, I'll be flying in and out of Liberia.

I loved the smaller towns in the rest of the country. We drove around and saw a lot of it.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Is this like Desert Fever? What is Island Fever like on a non-island?

You end up with a young Costa Rican wife and the runs.

I spent a night there last year and there was a golf course next to the hotel. It looked decent. I don't remember which hotel it was, though. They also had a mall there that puts to shame any mall I had seen before.
