Man, I would've thought that Missouri would be Russian. There are so many Russians in St. Louis. Korean in Georgia makes sense; if you've ever driven down Buford Highway, you'll know that the city had to make an ordinance requiring business names to be in English too so that first responders could find places they were trying to get to.

Interesting.... I didn't know that folks spoke anything besides Spanglish in Texas.

        Technically, its Vietnamanglish.

          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I live in one of those highly competitive districts (51% likely republican, 49% likely democrats)... good thing I throw my vote alway on the libertarian.

            • Ha. The Utah 4th district has an 18% chance of being represented by a republican and a 6% chance of being represented by a minority.

Looks like Mia Love will never win there.

Edit: Looking at the map, I guess that Saratoga Springs would no longer be in the 4th district.

              • I have my first student ever from American Samoa this semester. I have maps all over the walls of my classroom. I make it a habit of always pointing out where a place is whenever it gets mentioned in class. She answered, "Soy de Samoa Americana" and I go to the map to point it out and it reads, "American Somoa." The Kingdom of Samoa is spelled correctly, but not her home. So, even though the map is perfectly fine everywhere else, I just bought a brand new map for my classroom because 1) I come correct and 2) I want her to know that she's as important to me as anywhere/anyone else is.

                      • My wife and I bought Girl Scout Cookies in NYC for the first time last year and were severely disappointed in how they tasted, to the point that we thought they had changed the recipes and ruined them. It turns out there are two bakeries that supply the cookies and they have very different recipes (and sometimes names) for each cookie. I never knew this.

Long story short: Little Brownie Bakers make crap and ABC Bakers make the true and living Thin Mint. Also, Caramel deLites are infinitely better than Samoas.
