i'm really not upset at all.

I thought it was funny in a random sort of way. Inviting someone out on the evening of a major kids' holiday and inviting someone to a Foreigner concert, at that.

I texted him this morning and apologized for not getting back to him sooner. Apparently I missed out on some local choir taking the stage and signing "I want to know what love is" with the band.

So, his situation would be rather urgent? You're just playing head games now.

I hope you responded. Not doing so is as cold as ice.

Pretty sure I permanently lost some hearing at a Foreigner concert in the Salt Palace about 35 years ago.

We were most likely at the same concert. It was one of the loudest I've attended.

If I open up one more two-pack of starbursts and find that BOTH are orange, I will be firing off a very angry letter to the Wrigley company.

I love both the orange and yellows. I will take all the surplus you have.

I love all traditional starburst flavors.

Leave Wrigley alone. They are busy making more delicious orange starburst squares.

I don't care much for Starburst.

                              Nor do I.

I'm not sure how I feel about this common ground.

I saw Foreigner and Kansas at a free summer show in the downtown park in Columbia, SC about 20 years ago. They were both warming for their upcoming tours of state fairs in the south and midwest. Kansas was in top late 70's form. Foreigner, not so much.

Of course it being in Columbia and being in the mid 90's, Hootie and the Blowfish showed up and played a couple sets at the end. They were/are truly loved in Columbia - and for good reason. They were University of South Carolina boys famous for playing free spontaneous concerts on campus, at local clubs or in the park. If there was a concert being given on a Friday or Saturday night, and HatB weren't doing a show anywhere else, odds are they would show up and play. We were in Columbia for the height of the Hootie craze, and since we were poor starving students, we went to a lot of the free concerts. We must've seen HatB play a dozen times. Maybe more.

Hootie - fun. Kansas - actually pretty good Foreigner - meh
