    Last Night was Fun

I chilled out on the lounge seating of my boat with my iPad and watched the mountain (I live on the bench) behind my house burn.

    Awesome~!

It wouldn't be summer in Utah without one of the mountains burning.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

No kidding. With the addition of the new boat, I thought it was only a matter of time before we would get a thread title like this....at this pace I have my chips on that dweeb ox

It gets worse, I have been evacuated. I left work and rescued my boat and motorcycle. I had to sneak back in to get my surfboard. Wake surfing anyone?

Yikes. Several in my office have left to gather belongings. Here's to hoping it's truly only precautionary.

Was there a parade of media and gawkers coming through the neighborhood?

The fire last summer in Centerville was right above our house, and it seemed like thousands of people were trying to get as close to the fire as possible.

There are bunches of media types hanging around. Eve Dini is chilling at the high school. They have the huge media trucks here too.

I hope everyone's homes are okay. And I hope that this smoke goes away. The air is TERRIBLE.

The homes are fine. My workplace in slc smelled like a campfire this morning.

This afternoon driving home I was reminded of the view of the mountains in SoCal.

My mom called me last night because of this. She was forced to evacuate her home last night. So my brothers spent the day gathering what they could..

Edit: I see you are in the samw bost as my Mom. I hope your house is ok..

I'm happy to hear that you and your home are okay. It can be nice to live in an area close to the mountains and the views of the valleys are definitely beautiful, but it isn't worth the worry of summer fires.
