Let me guess, you are also wearing gym/athletic shoes along with your jeans and (likely) golf polo?
The only reason to wear white athletic socks of any height with jeans is because you are either in junior high school, you repair computer hardware for a living, or you are Jerry Seinfeld.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

That brings up an interesting question. I have a pair of these (but different color). In the winter I will wear them with jeans. What kind of socks would you expect to be worn with these shoes and jeans?

Does that mean tube socks are back in for basketball? I can't keep up. I mostly only wear ankle socks, but I have a few pair of black tubes I sometimes wear.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostYou're probably still wearing ankle socks to play basketball, too (which is as 2008 as the Black Eyed Peas, FTR).

I think the transition happened about three years ago, but was definitely in full swing by last basketball season.Originally posted by Jacob View PostDoes that mean tube socks are back in for basketball? I'm 44, and I'm finding myself moving into that "wear what's comfortable" stage, instead of "wear what looks good".If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

I was once told by one of my professors that I "have marathoner ankles". I did not know whether it was a compliment or an insult; i guess I still don't know. Also, I will not divulge whether the professor was male or female.Originally posted by Moliere View PostYes.
