No you're right. But that building across from Anzac I believe is the stake center now for the Butler East. We were in the Butler 33rd ward in that building. I may be wrong though.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostNot Butler Stake Center. I've got to find my little league photo from 1978. I've got a soccer one that I think is readily available at home.
Also, HFN, if you want to bump a thread, feel free to use my bump photo. I think it really adds something to any thread.

I don't have a photo for my little league team, but it rivals yours. We were 6-26 in my two years - 2-14 my first year, then coming in with a stellar 4-12 record my second year.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View Postthe 1974 Crescent Cougars:

That's right folks, those are flannel uniforms, which was the best thing about this team.
We did win a few games that season - all against the team that took first place - but I consider us one of the worst because we lost by huge amounts, as in games like 31-2, 29-0 and the like.
Our coach used to sit in a lawn chair in the coaches box on whichever side our dugout was with a cooler full of beer and never leave the chair the entire game. He was awesome.
I still think we were the inspiration for The Bad News Bears, as the kid (#3) ended up moving to California after that season and that movie was released 2 years later. Coincident? I think not.
Our coaches were a hoot. They didn't know baseball worth beans, but became very animated every game. One of them in particular got kicked out of half of our games. He'd then go sit against the light pole near the outfield, relax, drink a beer, and cheer us on. I didn't catch on at the time, but he was purposely getting tossed so he could go have a drink. And he had long hair, to boot - all this within a few miles of BYU campus!

Meet the 1989 Redlands Red Sox (Washington City Little League). We placed 4th in the league, making the playoffs and knocking off the #1 seed in the first round on a bases-loaded walk. Then we got destroyed in the finals. I've never truly recovered.

No. Believe it or not, though, that kid ended up being the best athlete of the bunch of us. All-state hoops, IIRC.Originally posted by Tim View PostPlease tell me you're not the kid on the far right with his pants up to his nipples.
