Tim, what is so ab-fab about these prehistoric kicks? I know nothing about them. Is there a bit of historical background to this particular model? I'm not really a student of running shoes.

I'm not as educated on the shoe either, but what I do know is that this was manufactured by Onitsuka, was given to select high school and college athletes (including my friend) for promotional reasons, that it was one of the first Prefontaine branded shoes, and that this particular color combination is confirmed as the least common one produced. The fact that it's in this good of shape also makes it valuable.

If I knew what they were I'd do that. Can you point me to any of the more reputable ones? As I mentioned before I'm not really a shoe collector. I have dozens of pairs that I enjoy wearing but I'm obviously more into the pairs that I like, not necessarily vintage shoe collecting.

I want to know what the GOOD shoe forums are, not just the ones with good SEO. For example, if you search for BYU football forum you'd be taken to CougarBoard, whereas we all know the good discussion is over here.
