You get what you pay for but sometimes you only need to use a tool for one project and don't want to spend a lot. Also they have a lifetime guarantee on their hand tools!

I like harbor freight for a lot of stuff, but I try to stay away when I need something whose failure could potentially kill me (jacks, ramps, tow straps).

I have a Chicago Electric harbor freight drill that I've had for at least 15 years. It is heavy duty and corded. I've used it for everything from driving screws when my cordless battery is dead to mixing some fairly thick grout and cement. It runs like a champ.

You have to be picky what you are buying, but I don't rule out Harbor Freight for purchasing certain tools.
