This should surprise no one. MLMs, ponzi schemes, etc. are nothing more than white, Mormon men screwing each other with wreckless abandon.

Lol! That description of slc's gay scene is the biggest stretch I've ever read. It's like calling Ogden a destination city. Looks like some news site is looking for traffic.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

This is something the people of Salt Lake City can be proud of.
It also shows how intolerant most of the rest of the state is. I've heard from more than one source that the gay population in SLC is so dense because young gay people from the rest of the state flock there because they feel ostracized in their hometown.

I think you can throw eastern Idaho and western Wyoming into that mix also. SLC is a safe haven for gays through out the intermountain west.

Strange criteria. Nude Yoga? Gay softball teams? Number of concerts by the Cliks, Gossip and the Veronicas?

            LOL.

That is interesting. I hadn't considered that.

It isn't terribly interesting. Metro/urban areas are always hubs for gays. It is true almost without exception. Utahs suburbs are no different than the suburbs outside of the Bay Area or anywhere else where gays congregate. They are all uninteresting and lack the vibrancy that are typical of the metro gay neighborhoods that dot major cities nationwide.
                  Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

They called it Q Hall in Provo.

No, I assure you. It was interesting to me. I can prove it.

I'm not sure if you are kidding but I lived in Q Hall and there are four guys who lived on my floor who are now openly gay.

I'm not kidding. Q Hall had a rep.

These guys were all well inside the closet.

There was a guy that moved out of Helaman to Q Hall and then got busted with several other guys for conduct unbecoming even someone that lived in DT.

I guess there was also a vibrant gay community at BYU in the early 90s. I just wasn't aware of it until years later.
