    Questions for Siri

Faith did something that kind of pissed me off... she bought a better phone than I have. Yes, I am still puttering away with my iPhone 3G, and Faith is rocking an iPhone 4s. It hurts me, and I can't wait for the iPhone 5 to come out so that I can once again assume my rightful place as the better-phoned-finderson.

But I digress. This isn't a thread about phone-envy. This is a thread about the iPhone's new Siri feature, in which pleasing voiced robot femme fatale will attempt to answer any question you throw her way. Believing that Apple is secretly collecting data about questions asked (and the user's who ask them), I asked to borrow Faith's phone, and promptly asked, "Where is the nearest Rub and Tug?"

Siri understood the question perfectly, though I swear I heard more than a bit of scorn in her voice when she replied, "I'm sorry, I do not understand Rub and Tug."

Sure, Siri, sure... she was, however, able to come up with a dang good definition for the word 'dildo.' At that point Faith grabbed her phone from me and told me that I was never allowed to talk to Siri again. We'll see about that.

Since I won't have access to Faith's iPhone until I figure out her password, I had to take this one to YouTube:

Ask her to talk dirty to you. Then ask her again, and again. Funny stuff.

Siri actually makes me a little jealous of iphoners. I can't find an android app that is comparable.

On the bright side, I'm sure there are MANY android apps that will help you locate the nearest 'rub & tug.'

              Try this one.

Apple's Siri represents the birth of a new breed of voice-controlled smartphone assistant services, and it is only a matter of time before other companies…

Reviews so far are that its a little too buggy, but its only been out for 3 days.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

It seems that Siri refuses to direct users to abortion/emergency contraception clinics, but rather directs them pro-life joints. That's effed up.

Siri never appealed to me much anyway, and there are way too many 4G android phones with way better specs. The all-glass design scares me too. Perhaps I'll regret it if the iphone 5 ends up being amazing, but I'm probably going to get the Galaxy Nexus when it comes out in the states, which may or may not be Dec 8.

I don't find her voice pleasing. I think she sounds like an old school math teacher, the kind that would wrap a student's knuckles with a yardstick, or sent you to detention for chewing gum in class. If she also had a slight german accent it would be perfect.

I tried to have her help me send a text by voice today. She kept getting the words wrong. Maybe I am trying to enunciate too much. I'm sure she is probably programed for standard speech, but I can't help but make all my "t"s as crisp as possible when talking to her (like LayTon).

After the second time I told her to cancel the message, she came back with a snippy comment of "Ok, I'll just forget it then". I swear I could hear indignation in her voice. It made me laugh, but I couldn't help but feel a little guilty about possibly hurting her feelings.

Also, probably the wrong thread, but this had me laughing quite hard. Definitely NSF Work or kids due to language. Some of them seem contrived, but I could see some being genuine. Sorry if already posted.
