Because of the old age excuse, I would gladly confess, but it wasn't me. It came from behind us as I recall.

This is a great thread. It starts out asking to define class and quickly evolves into flatulence.

I don't think class has anything to do with money or the way a person dresses - though even I will admit that Larry Bird showing up in jeans and a tee to accept the MVP award probably wasn't the classiest move. Personally, I think class is simply a good combination of self-awareness and consideration but I could be wrong, so I'm interested in y'all's opinion.
Classy people don't post on internet messageboards because eventually they devolve into engaging in classless behavior or using classless language or are at the very least sullied by associated with those that do.

Admitting it is the first step.

          Congratulations.

Agreed, but the greater gem is the introduction of the Coke Machine breakup into modern lexicon.

The navy blue sweater vest I am wearing over my long-sleeved wine-colored dress shirt is pretty classy. This was my way of masking the fact that i didn't have time to iron the entire shirt this morning.

Arguably, but you've got to give serious consideration to his line as Mr. Carlson, WKRP's station manager, after the station's promotion of dropping turkeys from a helicopter went awry. Reporting on the scene, Les Nessman cried, "They're hitting the ground like bags of wet cement."

Mr. Carlson later observed, "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

                      Happy Birthday, Gordon Jump.
