    Any Risk fans?

I'm starting up an online game of what is essentially Risk but is called Warfish. I can add up to 7 players. You get an email notification when it's your turn. First 7 are in. If we don't get 7 replies within a day then I'll start it with what we have.

I need your email address to add you.

I haven't played in 20 years, but I recall that every game I ever played ended in a fight (words, not fisticuffs). Although I regard myself as a man of peace and goodwill, I apparently brought out the worst in my competitors. Two decades later, even the mention of "Irktusk" sends my brother-in-law into a white rage.

I have the highest regard for you SB, and I do not wish to risk (!) that for the momentary pleasure of world domination. Is it possible to obtain spectator's access to the proceedings?

This first game is closed now. All of you who PM'd me should have email instructions from Warfish waiting for you. Just so you know the computer chooses our initial troop placements so don't be mad at me if yours suck.

SteelBlue -- do this again some time. I love Risk, but was too swamped tonight to play.

Saw this thread too late, but I'm curious--what rules are you playing with? Straight up vanilla risk? Missions? Timeline?

I like Risk, but the original version should really just be called "Australia".
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

I can still add three players so PM me if you still want in. Rules are available once you join game. Again it's not Risk but Warfish so countries etc... Are different but game feel is same. Oh and Levin it lasts for days or weeks because you take turns after email notification.

If you asked to be added and haven't received an email please check your spam box.

Ok, I got the good board and I've resent the invites and included those of you who jumped in late. So we have 8 players. Those of you who joined the previous game will need to ignore it and sign up on the current one. PM me if any questions. Once everyone has joined we'll get email reminders when it is our turn. Let me know if any of you have problems signing on and remember to check your spam if you haven't received an invite yet.

You should send a private message to Pellegrino, I'm sure he'd want to play the next time you do this.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

LOL, I considered excluding him from the initial invite but wasn't sure he'd take it in the spirit in which it was intended.
