Yes, thank you for pointing that out to me. I had no idea about that Adobe deal. Must have been hush hush. Is it at all related to that massive Adobe building being built right off the I-15 near point of the mountain? Why didn't the local press mention it?

The Omniture/Adobe campus is in Orem.

I worried that when Adobe took over, the company would become bloated with useless Adobe staff, much like Adobe's bloated, over-featured software. So far, the main Omniture guy is still there, but they just had a huge layoff with (I think) about 20% of their staff everywhere in the company 2 weeks ago.

Your guess is as good as mine. They are coming off of one of their most profitable years ever, and just dropped $200,000 on their employee Halloween Party (more on this later). Then the layoff the next week. I dont know if they plan to move their Adobe employees in. I know they are not moving their campus to another state. But yes, they are moving to Point of the Mountain. I dont know if their entire campus is moving.

They have a wall with the placards of all of their clients. I was mightily impressed. You should investigate just to see this wall, which stretches 2 storeys high. I also noticed a room with a sign on it saying "Lexis-Nexis." I wonder if they own it.

They have a room where their techs monitor internet traffic. It is in the center of their main building and with super high tech security. There are people in it 24-7 and they work in isolation behind heavily darkened glass walls. It looks like an air traffic control room with all the blips and flashing lights.

Their Halloween Party was marvelous. Each department was given a budget to decorate their walls with, and every department was assigned a theme ranging from "Where the Wild Things Are" ($20,000 budget splendidly deployed) to "Harry Potter" ($20,000 budget amazingly deployed) to "Alice in Wonderland" (Budget charmingly deployed although the employees from that department were nazis about touching anything) to Toy Story 3 ($30,000 budget adequately deployed, nice touch hiring those 3 midgets dressed up in costume. Where exactly does one hire 3 midgets?) There were strolling magicians, snake handlers and tarantula wranglers. We came home with (I keed not) 8 pounds of candy.

How about half the Fortune 500 companies? That's an exaggeration, but they're pretty much #1 in their space.

From what I understand they have the little people come every year. One year they were oompa loompas and another they were munchkins.

I talked to one of their employees at church on Sunday. He sounds like he likes the place. It seems like Adobe is trying to maintain the culture that was already there - hence the big Halloween party.

The layoffs were an adobe wide thing, so I don't think it was related specifically to Omnitures performance, but more of a timely trimming of the fat company wide. From what I could gather, it sounded like there were fewer layoffs in Omniture than at most of Adobe's other divisions.

Who is the main Omniture guy? I thought it was Josh James, and he's definitely gone. He left several months ago, and went over and bought out Corda, located in Lindon, and renamed it Domo. James brought in something like $50M in venture capital, and Domo then started gearing up to do a lot more things than what they'd been doing before. Adobe sued him, saying he's in direct competition with Omniture. I don't know the outcome, or if it's even resolved yet.
