  • What were you banned from Cougarboard for?

Someone should start a "what were you banned for?" thread
    Per Viking's request.

I'm perhaps least qualified to start this thread since I've never actually been banned over there. I did however get a couple of warnings. Once for intimating that I might visit si.com because of the recent release of the swimsuit issue.

The other time (just the other day) was for asking if Kellen Moore is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (yes I used the full name) outside of the religion category (no, he isn't even though his wife is and attended BYU).

So what did all you heathens do over there to get banned?

I've been warned several times for posting about religion without being a donor.

It has been so long I don't remember. I do remember that it was always very stupid. I never look back.

I thought it funny since I searched the board for it and saw it addressed a couple times in the college football category, but without a definitive answer. So then I ask the question and it gets moved and I get warned.

I got a permanent ban from the religion category for pointing out the certain mistranslations in the KJV were present in the Book of Mormon.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I got a permanent ban for not creating an account and hacking the board. CB is so 1996.

I've lost count of how many times I've been suspended. I'm pretty sure I've been suspended for a Brian Johnson (BJ) post, and something during BYU-OSU week a few years back. I made a reference once to someone being someone else's wet dream. I got a warning for quoting a Bible verse in my signature (seriously) I've had two week-long suspensions in the last couple of months but I honestly can't remember what they were for. I remember they weren't that bad, but I think I'm on Jefe's stepped-up punishment list for repeat offenders.
If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

I was suspended once for "calling out another poster" and we all know that is always enforced over there.

I voluntarily left a while back. I'll check CB every once in a while to see what's on the front page and around conference time to see what people are posting in the religious category.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I can't believe you would stoop to such shameful name calling. Jerk.

I think LiveCoug suspended me once for posting a captionless picture of Dirk Nowitzki on the block posting up a defender with a humorous look on his face. The mod explanation read, "this can lead nowhere good." I'm almost certain it was LiveCoug. Either him or Thibious, but those guys are practically twins so who can remember?

Too bad for them. Honestly I perceive you as being one of the very few guys that is aware and interested in LDS apologetic issues that has the closest to a TBM kind of pure faith.
