Makes sense, but still leaves it as a pet peeve for me. At least where I work more people arrive at the same time than when they leave. So these folks for their convenience tie up others.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostYes you can take all the time of backing when you get there instead of when you leave.

I have never had a pick up or a Truck so I wouldn't have realized this and makes sense. Haven't had a SUV either and the person was driving one. Does the same thing apply to a SUV as it does a pick up?Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostYep and I've found its just easier when in my pick up to back in than going in forward.

Back when I had to drive SUVs I would back them in as well. For me it seemed easier. Whether it really is - with the truck or the SUV - I guess I don't really know.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI have never had a pick up or a Truck so I wouldn't have realized this and makes sense. When I'm in our sedan, I usually park forward.I'm like LeBron James.

I think you are less likely to have an accident if you back in to park. When you back in you already control the flow of traffic in the vicity nad can take the parking space. Then when you are leaving your vision is not blocked by the other cars around you, like when backing out of a parking spot.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostBack when I had to drive SUVs I would back them in as well. When I am driving my pickup, which also has a shell making it very difficult to see behind me, I almost always back into parking spaces. Having had a lot of practice doing this over the years, I rarely take long to do so and it makes leaving much easier for me and safer for every one. When I am in my sedan I dont often back in but will do so occasionally. It isnt too much safer in the sedan as it has excellent visibility and a back up camera, but it still makes it a lot easier to leave the space.Originally posted by BigPiney View PostI think you are less likely to have an accident if you back in to park. I'm very happy that now, when people type "CST" it is actually correct.

OMG. A large electric discharge typically during a storm is Lightning, NOT Lightening. I see Lightening used everywhere these days and it drives me nuts. The latest was an article from a bridge company talking about the challenges during a ped bridge install over I-225 in Denver. Unless they really meant "Lightening storm" in which case I'm incredibly confused.

Who in the entertainment industry originally decided that firearms should make a clicking sound when they are leveled at someone? I'm not talking about cycling anything, just simply raising your weapon and pointing it at someone. Every time someone does that on TV or in most movies, there is the movie gun clicking noise. Its super annoying to me.

I think they use the same canned clicking noise as well.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostWho in the entertainment industry originally decided that firearms should make a clicking sound when they are leveled at someone?
