If he is going to admit it, might as well tell the whole truth.
Self defense doesn't explain things like the bloody glove. Who puts on a misfitting glove prior to defending themselves. The scenario he describes doesn't make sense. And then he waits around for an hour and has to defend his life all over again from goldman? That is a lot of life threatening self defense for one evening.
He probably should have just kept quiet at this point.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.
