Would it be insensitive of me...

To go ask the gal sitting in the cubicle next to me to go home so that she doesn't infect everyone else? And if she says no would it be insensitive for me to ask the Boss to kindly suggest or insist that she take the rest of the day off?

I've already heard 3 people tell her to go home and she thinks she's being noble by "toughing it out". One of my biggest pet peeves.

She's been hacking up a lung all day long and I'm leaving town here in a couple of days,,,and if I get sick because of her I'm going to be pissed.

Not at all. You'd be doing everyone a favor. She may think she's doing the right thing by toughing it out, but all she's doing is exposing everyone else to whatever ails her.

I've noticed in my travels to Asia (Japan and Singapore) that Asians will sometimes wear surgical masks to either protect from catching something or protect others from getting what they have, and it seems perfectly normal to do so. I think we should adopt the same custom here, so go get a surgical mask on your lunch break Rocky and let her see you wearing it.

I didn't think people were supposed to start being sick, but toughing it out on Monday and Tuesday until next week, then by Thursday you are so beat down that you just can't come in.
