In between the storm fronts, I walked the dog and saw quite the thundershow to the Southeast. Looked like Garland was getting pounded. Then went grocery shopping and to Target. The stores were empty. Got home before the next front swept through. Love online radar. But it was kinda eeire as I noticed the calm in between the storms, a noticable pressure difference, amist the sirens of the tornado alarms.“Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. Yeah, that was weird: the calm between the storms. The wind wasn't really blowing at all. We sat out on the back porch and watched the lightning show for a good part of the night.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostIn between the storm fronts, I walked the dog and saw quite the thundershow to the Southeast. Snow on the grass this morning - damn I'm getting tired of this
I may be small, but I'm slow.

63 degrees in Las Vegas right now.Originally posted by Surfah View PostRocky Balboa posted a pic on his Facebook. He's up at Deer Valley for the weekend and it was snowing. 90 degrees here, humid, and we're on our way to the pool!

Just spent 3+ hours at the pool. Then came home and set up the Slip N' Slide in the backyard. When did those things get so short? We had some plastic rolls in the garage and added it to the end to make it 3 times as long. Good times. You can have the snow today. I'll be lighting some charcoal soon to grill our 1 1/2" thick ribeyes. Perfect Memorial Day so far.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostThat sounds horrid. Cold and rainy yesterday, nice and warm today. I am not minding the unusually cold weather one bit.Originally posted by Surfah View PostJust spent 3+ hours at the pool. BTW, I ruined 8 1.5" ribeyes yesterday. I was at my folks place using their gas grill. I didnt check their grease tray. High heat + lots of grease = huge fire and 8 ruined steaks. Grease fires are no fun. I had 4-5' flames coming out of the vents of the grill and black smoke was filling the backyard. I melted the thermometer on the inside of the grill. Closest I have ever come to almost calling the fire dept. Of course, not a single fire extinguisher to be found.

3+ hours at the pool plus a slip n' slide in 90 + humidity? Dude, that sounds like a nightmare of a day, but any day with that type of weather sounds like a nightmare regardless of activity. Those steaks sound great, however. I'd be eating them inside your house to grab some AC!Originally posted by Surfah View PostJust spent 3+ hours at the pool.
