I would also not that the sizes run big. I normally wear a 10 in most shoes. Both pair of Gordon Rush I own are size 9.

They were on Zappos on a BOGOHO sale a couple months back, but I missed the sale and haven't been able to convince myself to pull the trigger on a full price pair ($175).

    EDIT: They are now $225.

What about them makes them your favorite? Are they substantially more comfortable than others? Prefer the style? Match your wardrobe better? Other?

I have a couple pair of Gordon Rush. I would say they are worth $100-$140. They are a lower end Nordstrom offering. They are comfortable and generally well made. That being said, avoid the Rush by Gordon Rush line. Those are the ones I've seen lately on Amazon for like $60-$80. I've heard those are garbage.

I have those exact shoes. I've hardly worn them, though. Not a big fan of slip on dress shoes. Feels lazy.

That had these black wingtips, made in Italy, on sale last Sunday for $98.00

I don't really wear wingtips -- I've never had a pair and my dad has never been a fan of them. But if I were to buy a pair, I wouldn't want the lace flaps which is why I didn't pull the trigger on these.

Good point. I just grabbed some black toe cap Oxfords at Nordstrom Rack. I don't know anything about Santoni (the manufacturer) either, but at least I could hold them/try them on.

EDIT: There are some favorable reviews out there for Santoni.

I read an article earlier that I thought was pretty timely given this discussion. Here's a guide on how you wear brown shoes with different colors.

Yep, gotta be careful wearing dress shoes with jeans. I've got a nice pair of brown dress shoes that go well with some nice jeans, but they are on the low end of dressy. Wingtips would never go well with jeans. Frankly, I hate wingtips but to each their own.
